Dreck November 2, 2007 Luke Meyers (Seattle, WA USA) 8 out of 14 found this review helpful
Good thing this track is free, because it's garbage. I know pop doesn't have to be complex, but there's more going on here than that. It's boring and unoriginal, and full of cliches. I couldn't even stand to listen more than halfway through.
Refreshing! September 25, 2007 KAL-EL (Philadelphia, PA) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
"Energy" from "The Apples In Stereo" was the first song I ever downloaded from amazons new mp3 music service. The best part being it was a free download. For promotion maybe? Anyway, the song is very infectious and has a great poppy sound. A definite sing along driving song.
Energy has none. October 8, 2007 Kobayashi (United States) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
Never heard of this band until I got the free download. I hope the rest of the album is better because Energy is one of the worst songs that I have ever heard.
Simple fun pop, done right October 18, 2007 spinhead (Roseville, CA USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Pop music isn't supposed to be complex or life-altering. 'Energy' is fun, simple, repetitive. It's got a catchy melody that's hummable, the lyrics don't make me think too hard (I have other music for that!) and it's all performed well. If this had come on my car stereo this morning, I'd have turned it up, not off. And with album names like 'New Magnetic Wonder' and 'Her Wallpaper Reverie' it seems like their other six or seven albums are worth looking into.
No Wonder It's FREE... December 29, 2007 W. Dimartino 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
When I signed up to download from Amazon I thought it said you can 'choose' a free song... or something like that... anyway, after installing their 'downloading software' I was redirected to install it AGAIN... First off - This 'free' song belongs in the TWEENY Bopper section. It's just awful. Therefore, you can keep your FREE song. Second- I'm sticking with iTunes. Flawless integration and a simple shopping experience is what I'm used to. Get it right Amazon and maybe I'll come back. This is just too GOOOOOFY...
